Silvana Perez Leon, research assistant of the COHESION Project, participated at the conference EPICAH (Encuentro Por la Investigacion Cayetano Heredia) that took place in Lima, Peru between the 14th and 16th of September. Silvana participated on the Panel on Chronic Conditions and gave a presentation on the work the COHESION project has done in Peru. She highlighted the need for providing healthcare workers with training to improve their communication skills in order to be more responsive to the cultural characteristics of patients.
