Silvana Perez Leon Quinoso, research assistant of the COHESION Project in Peru attended the Prince Mahidol Award Conference (PMAC) held in Bangkok, Thailand from 29 January to 3 February 2019. The Conference theme was “The Political Economy of NCDs a Whole of Society Approach”.
Silvana participated in a session of young researchers presenting the paper entitled: “Food perceptions and Dietary Changes for Chronic Condition Management in Rural Peru: Insights for Health Promotion” (see here). In her presentation, Ms. Perez Leon Quinoso pointed out the importance of providing dietary recommendations for chronic conditions in rural agrarian communities that are reconciled with working conditions, access to food, perceptions of food and family.
