Our research team co-organized an event for medical
students, focusing on the research implications and ethics.

A two-day workshop for undergraduate medical students at the B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences took place on April 27-28, 2025. Co-organized by our project, the workshop aimed to enhance students’ understanding of the broader implications of research, including foundational ethical principles in basic medical research.
Our team specifically contributed by sharing insights on the importance of partnerships in addressing the health needs of low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). The event also included mentorship sessions provided by medical and research experts from India and Nepal.
A total of 30 undergraduate medical students participated in this capacity-strengthening activity, which aligns with our project’s strategy to strengthen research capacity.
