Team members and national advisors discussed progress on the interventions, providing feedback on communication materials to enhance community engagement.

On 11, February, 2025, team members from Mozambique convened in the Faculty of Medicine of the Universidade Eduardo Mondlane to review progress and discuss communication materials. The agenda focused on four main interventions aimed at improving healthcare and education, including training programs for community agents and healthcare providers, monitoring stations for blood pressure and glucose levels, as well as educational videos. Posters and audiovisual materials were also presented to the advisors, providing feedback on their effectiveness in conveying the messages, with particular attention to visual and communication aspects.
The team further emphasized the critical role of inclusion and accessibility in the dissemination process, stressing the importance of accommodating diverse literacy levels and language preferences within the community. This involves the incorporation of sign language and subtitles in educational materials to facilitate understanding. Our advisors also highlighted flexibility as a key aspect of the interventions and communication components, facilitating ongoing adjustments based on community feedback. As part of the co-creation process, continuous validation and adaptability were recognised as essential to fostering community-level engagement. The adoption of a dynamic approach was a focal point of the discussion, with advisors offering recommendations aimed at maintaining interventions responsive, inclusive, and impactful.
The meeting concluded by addressing the need for continuous monitoring and evaluation, describing specific steps for assessing each intervention. Additionally, referral processes and timelines were outlined, covering material review based on feedback, internal validation, implementation planning, and periodic impact monitoring.
We thank the National Advisory Board for the engaging exchange of ideas and valuable inputs, which play a crucial role in enhancing the relevance and impact of the COHESION-I Project.
